Mission Statement

Elijah’s Cave Ministry provides opportunities for pastors, Christian leaders and their spouses to gather together, experience rest from their frantic schedules, and become closer to God.

  • We pray for them.
  • We hear their concerns.
  • We provide counsel regarding issues in the church today.
  • We offer encouragement from God’s Word.
  • We break bread and fellowship together.
  • We walk with them in the calling God has given them.
  • We teach them how to get away for time with God.

Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”   Mark 6:31

Why Elijah’s Cave Ministry?

In 1 Kings 18 & 19 Elijah witnessed God unleash His power from heaven and ignite the altar of worship. Then Elijah defeated and killed 450 false prophets of Baal. Immediately following this astonishing ministry experience, this mighty man of God ran for his life when Queen Jezebel threatened him. He ran into the desert depressed and ready to give up on ministry. God, however, provided three things for him, He let him sleep, provided food for his journey and had an encounter with Him in a cave. God had Elijah’s attention and spoke directly to him with gentle whisper in a cave. Elijah’s strength and intimacy was renewed.

As leaders we need to take time to rest and renew our focus on the Lord our God. Jesus gives us an invitation that we should not ignore.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”. Matthew 11:28

Elijah’s Cave Ministry provides opportunities for pastors and leaders to be renewed, restored, and refreshed. Come apart for a time of refreshing! It is time to hear His gentle whisper!
